Eight Hands handmade

My husband and I were high school sweethearts and just celebrated our 36th anniversary. We have four children, two sons and two daughters. Keeping saltwater fish tanks was my hobby. Over the years it progressed from simple corals and fish to the octopus. My fascination and love of the octopus was the inspiration for the name Eight Hands.

My love affair with soap making began when I made soap as favors for a baby shower. I was fascinated by the process simply loved making soap. I read everything I could get my hands on about soap making. I discovered that the soap we buy at the supermarket isn't really soap; it is basically chemicals and detergents. I was delighted to be able to create my own recipes using the high quality natural ingredients that my skin likes. I made a lot of soap using molds handmade by my husband and gave it away to family and friends. The positive feedback inspired me to share my soap with others. I began making soap in my kitchen and quickly realized I needed a space of my own. We built my workshop where I can control the temperature, humidity and the cleanliness.  As time went on, I progressed to making bath bomb, body butters, solid lotion, scrubs, shampoo and conditioner. I put my heart and soul into everything I make. I hope you enjoy my products as much as I enjoy making them.  I make cold process soap in small batches with no detergents, preservatives, FD&C dyes or phthalates. Discover the difference real handmade soap can make for your skin.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
